Family and Friends--
"Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you...."
Isaiah 43:1b-2a
Radiation begins Wednesday, February 16 at 9:30am daily for 6.5 weeks in Antigo--40 minutes from home. The expected side effects are fatigue (progressive as treatment continues) and sunburn/blisters throughout treatment and for some time afterwards.
We are trusting God for effective treatment and safety in travel, as well as minimal side effects/capability to manage and endure the side effects, and opportunities to represent Him well to others. We are thankful for His promise to be with us as we walk through these next months.
I (Linda) am feeling great going into the start of radiation (6 weeks post-surgery), and might even get an "approved" short c-c ski in before treatment begins. (The lifelong risk of lymphedema post surgery requires a slow, gentle build up to any activity using my arms, and a day in-between each activity use. This is a new lifestyle.) We are also adapting our diet to many cancer-fighting foods and vitamins and learning much in the process.
Children of the Heavenly Father
Children of the heav'nly Father
Safely in His bosom gather;
Nestling bird nor star in heaven
Such a refuge e'er was given.
(Swedish Hymn)
We are resting in our Heavenly Father's loving arms--our refuge and strength.
Thanks for praying and trusting along with us!!
Linda and Dave
Continuing to pray for you daily. Will be praying that during these days you will experience God’s presence and His provision for all your needs and that it will be “well with your soul.”
